ICAS5 Conference: "Shaping a Future in Asia"

The 5th International Convention of Asia Scholars (ICAS5) was organized by the International Institute for Asian Studies, Leiden, Institute of the Malay World and Civilization (ATMA) and the Institute of Occidental Studies (IKON) of the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Scholars from the SFB working on Asia met on several occasions to discuss the concept of "the future" in various Asian contexts. Arising from these discussions, a panel of three people was formed to represent the SFB640 project at the ICAS5.
